Also it might be a CB 6750 jasper which is not jtaggable.  I could see it not booting Xell, but not booting the original image is odd.

I got one of them the other day and the damn thing was made in Feb 2009, way off from June cutoff time.

i haven't seen a 6717 dash with a 6750 2bl.

i have seen 7357, 7363, and 7371 dashes with 6750 2bl, all before the patch date.  most likely forgot-to-put-the-service-sticker-on refurbs.

i'll stick with my original 3 hypotheses smile.gif

[rant]guess i'm white-knighting a little bit, but when you opened (or had someone open) that box, you assumed responsibility for it.  playing the repair-game is in the elective-welfare universe: sure, microsoft will 'pay' for that which will only be accounted for against shareholder value or shit, even future pricing.  do what you want, but someone's gotta pay for it.[/rant]

.. if you had a 'blades' dashboard, it is my firm assertion that the box was exploitable.  are you now saying that it didn't have 6717 as originally posted?  if it did have blades, then you will have had the FIRST jasper i've ever heard about with 6717/6750.  that is, if it were 6717, i'd be pretty pointed with this modder as i'd believe he gutswapped on me.

You can trust boflc esp regarding jaspers OP..  if indeed your jasper was on "blades" aka 6717 then your box is fully exploitable and the guy you took your box to stole your junk.. and gave u some useless junk.. either that or he is just a complete moron

Yep, he probably stole your "gem" of a board and gave you one of his bad ones.  You should've photographed the board inside and made sure you got the same one back.  I have a Jasper with the blade dashboard that I successfully Jtagged...all blade Jaspers are exploitable.
