Modchip Advice Needed Here

Hi..i bought a xbox 360 slim last year it came with kinect..i want to mod it so i can play backup games and copied games..which modchip would u recommend for me? please leave me a name or even a link if possible..i only want the best modchip i can get..please leave advice asap..thanks.

My advice, wait until we are at least booting a dashboard using this hack.

SPUTNIK360 unlock switch
Works on all MXIC SPI's (9504, 0272, 0225 & 0401)

If you plan on doing a few get the SPUTNIK Probe smile.gif

Gecko /Kamikaze Winbond Unlock to do the Winbond chips but I would only suggest that if you truly no what you are doing and not just thinking you can by watching a vid online.

syntax is referring to the glitch reset mod but seeing as you just want to play backups I thought maybe this might be what you are looking for.

I've been thinking about this lately too.  Right now, as I understand it, the only one that's actually available to ship right now is the matrix glitcher.  From what I can tell, it doesn't seem there is too much difference from one chip to the next.  I think the real question is when the software will be available to actually boot a backup.  I would love to hear an estimate if anyone has a good idea as to when that might happen, but I don't think anyone really knows.  

You might want to look at the drive emulators like xkey and wasabi360.  They're a bit more expensive and won't be able to boot unsigned code (no DLC/XBLA) but they can backup your games (Ap2.5 and XGD3 supported!).  Of course, neither of those are actually ready to ship yet and as best as I know, no one known when they will be.  

Bottom line?  Right now, you really can't do anything except maybe update your firmware hack on your DVD rom drive to LT2.0+ (assuming it's out for your particular DVD rom drive brand).  Other than that, you'll have to wait till the hardware comes in on those DVD drive emulators or the software on that GliGli reset hack.

Same boat here, waiting for the RGH hack to mature before jumping in. My Xbox1 had a X3 chip with HD loading and emu's, and it was the best purchase I've ever made. I'm hoping this RGH turns out to be the same deal, but looks like its going to take a little bit longer.

Just to clarify, RGH will probably be a soldered chip right?
