Hi all, not sure if this has been answered but i know you cannot go online with a spoofed drive, you will be banned right?

Now i bought 2 consoles of a chap, £25 each, as the drives were faulty, i have managed to get them both running, one wont boot certain stuff but i think i know what that is, ignore that for now...

They both have PHAT lite ons 7485s or whatever they are, now one is shot, lazers burnt out, so just to test the console i have put in a sammy ms28 spoofed to the LITE-ON, and the console is running perfectly.

I obviously have not and will not connect to live.

So if i repair the original drive, or most likely just get another, will it be ok, or can ms tell if you even booted your system with a spoofed drive at all?, if it gets banned it does, it was £25, but just wondering if its worth getting the new drive, as if its gonna get banned i may as well leave it as is you see.
