Please read this discription carefully so you can understand what is going on..

 I have had this jtagged console for a really long time with no problems... it is a jasper model..

this is how the problem started... i was using the file manager to extract a copy of modern warfare into my external hd, when it finished i deleted the update folder, but forgot to run the default.xex through xexTool to patch the file....so i tried to play game through freestyle dash....screen went blank like it was starting and then went to the NXE dashboard and the dvd tray popped out.. i tried to close the tray but keeps popping out, over and over. I turned power off, then back on and my tray pops out and boots to xell... now no matter what i try my console boots to xell, whether using power button, eject, or controller....i have unplugged the dvd rom and it still boots to xell.... i have tried to flash with my backed up moddified nand through xell, but is says it is wrong size....i figured the default.xex that wasnt fixed caused this problem, but how can i fix it?

Try this as a test, with no dvd drive jump this point.

you dont need to run the default.xex through any programs unless you are removing region lock etc, so i fail to see how this has had any effect on your console.

simple fix is to dump your nand and re-create a new FB image using the latest fbbuild and flash it to the console.

I agree with you, this probably had nothing to do with the problem, it sounds like his dvd drive just went defective on him. Jumping the point i suggested should get him booting to his dash and if so then I can try and figure out what happened to the dvd drive.

Well i still think the problem you are having has absolutely nothing to do with what you were doing at the time.

What dvd drive type is it? Maybe the tray closed limit switch is not working. This will cause the console to keep ejecting the tray because it thinks the tray wont close and it thinks the tray might be jammed so it puts it in reverse (open) to unjam it.

i understand what ur saying, but it was empty and in closed position untill i started the game....thats when it went back to official dashboard and ejected.... i just cant understand why it done it at that exact moment

well the jumper is allowing it to boot to dashboard again, but when i go to freestyle dash and try and start a game it just goes back to my NXE dashboard....anymore ideas?
