Hi,
I have a modded XBOX360 which until today worked fine with pirated games. Today I decided to connect it to the internet (after a long time) and download any new updates. I did so, I downloaded the new kinect dashboard update and it seemed to work fine. I can navigate through it, I can visit the marketplace, I even downloaded a new game demo (Driver at San Francisco) which played smoothly. These signs, together with the fact that I did not get any "ban"warning during or after the process, leads me to believe that I have not been banned. Nevertheless, when I put a game disc in, as soon as I close the tray it shows the XBOX360 splash screen and stays there forever. Has anybody had the same problem or does anybody know what I can do??

I got the same issue i update with xbox live yesterday and after the update all my burned games i put in say Play DVD and when i click it i get to a XBOX 360 Splash Screen and it's stuck there with a menu of "Play" "Fast Forward" "Stop" etc. Like i'm watching a movie.

Anyways i just wanna know have i fucked my XBOX 360 up? I bought it from a friend a long while ago. It's a black XBOX 360.

I know nothing of modding etc so please explain to me what i should do.

Sounds like the update flashed your drive back to stock , you will need to flash it again back to the latest LT firmware.

How can i do that? I don't even know how...

Last time i tried flashing my xbox 360 it got broke and wouldn't even start up..

I encourage you to read the tutorials section there is a great tutorial there. and then keep reading in the hacking dvd drive section.  Thats how you are gonna learn and thats how you will be able to keep up with M$ ways.
