Problem After Applying Update To My Modded Xbox 360

hey everybody
i'm a newbie in the site and I have had a modded xbox 360 for two years  but recently i updated it from internet
and now every time I wanted to play a burned game (pirated) it doesn't work anymore and it says play DVD instead of play game but only the xbox sign appears and that's it
and also the dashboard has been changed

can somebody help me to return my xbox as it was (read burned games)
is this the right forum for this kind of inquiry???

please people use google. has been asked a thousand times. newer dash updates flash your drive to stock.
