I have been trying to get answers over at a different forum, that will remain nameless for the moment, and got alot of questions about information that I had already posted in the beginning of the topic.

Anyway, I have a Xenon board that I just jtag'd and bridged the u6t2 spot on my board, as per a tutorial on preventing MS updates killing any chance of homebrew. When attempting to install the lpt cable my resistors seemed to be dead after I soldered them into the board. so I removed everything put the system back together and booted the system. It came up no problems, so I was wondering what my options are at this time really? Can I update and still be able to read/write my nand later on because I have been itching to play my xbox with a passion? Or do I just sit and wait until I can order a NAND-X and try it that way?

I guess I am just asking for the best advice from the best of the best here. I have had lots of luck looking up information on my original Xbox and that is running great with a bigger hard drive and lots games from nes to n64 to playstation 1. Any insight would be great or even just a finger in the right direction.
