XBR3 is 8955 dash. At that time you needed 2 nand for freeboot

Now freeboot you use a single nand. 9199 (.032), 12611, 12625, and 13146

9199 is probably the best version in my opinion. Less bugs

After you reboot into a later kernel, you can install xexmenu or Freestyle dash so you can launch xex files which are like exe's for windows.

thanks so much, sounds like i did it right, since i posted this, i downloaded freeboot toolbox maker and updated to 13146 dash, installed xex menu and freestyle dash with dashlaunch.  Seems to be running pretty good, i have 360 games and arcade games working.  is there a media player i can install to play avi's, mkv's, ...?

will 9199 play all the latest games?

Glad you found a more up to date guide, no reason not to use 13146 dash but if you must use 9199 then at least use dashlaunch V2.22 to patch your nand so newer games will run. There is currently no media player for the 360 but there is one being compiled.
