thats what the tutuorial i followed told me to install.  Also doesn't freeboot require a 2nd nand?  Can someone also give me some insight as to what i can do now that its jtag'd.  I'm aware i can use any size hdd now, but what else? can i install a ftp server to upload movies and games? can i run games directly from the hdd without the need of the disk?  are there any other tutorials on there on what i can do?

Thats an old guide, go and download jtag tool and let it do the lot for you including building the latest freeboot 13146 dash image, XBR is old and outdated. Then get freestyledash and dashlaunch, FSD has a http server built in and yes you can run games off a hdd without a disc which to me is the single best part of having a jtag.
