Hi,
Hey guys i have jasper xbox with philips & lite-on drive and i want to update it to latest iXtreme fw. but i would like to clear myself about few thing before i start flashing my drive:

1. Which latest ver. of iXtreme fw available for lite-on drives(this one ? LT+1.9). Will i be able to play backups without putting my activation boot disc for new games(im using it right now and im realy getting bored of inserting and removing it again n again).

2. Can i plug the dvd drive in using sata cable to my pc and turn its powe on driectly from 360? Will it give any sort or trouble?

3. Do i need to do a dos flash or i can do it with windows?

4. flashing lite-on drive to new iXtreme fw is more complicated? As i already mentioned im banned from xbl so what all steps i can skipp to make it fast. I just want to update it and use the latest firmware thats all.-)
And is it ok to power on the drive from xbox 360 it self instead of using custom made power switches? Will it damage my xbox or it is just for saving your self from getting banned from xbl only.

Note: I'm already banned n dont care about it, it is flashed with some old ver. of custom f/w i dont know & using win7x64.-)

there are no steps you can skip just because you are banned...

LT+ 1.9 is the newest version for liteon.

And you're missing one crucial step, getting the drive key. You say that the drive is already flashed with hacked firmware. That means that you must have a copy of your original firmware, or the person who flashed the drive will have one.

You can use the 360 to power the drive, but most say that it is not recommended, as the 360 logs the fact that it was powered on without a drive in (but since you're banned this shouldn't matter).

If you have access to the original firmware/key you can simply insert the key into LT+1.9 using jungleflasher, and flash the drive using jungleflasher or dosflash (you can choose whichever, jungleflasher is a little easier for noobs, but in order to get it to work you need to disable driver signature enforcement by pressing f8 when your computer is booting up, right before the windows loading screen pops up.)

If you don't have access to the key, you MIGHT be able to get it by using the "dummy from ixtreme" or "key for keyDB" features of jungleflasher, the later depends on whether or not you flashed the drive yourself. If neither of those work, you will most likely have to perform the MRA hack or PMT hack to dump the firmware from the drive.

Hey thanks for all the info. but only prob im facing is regarding its original drive key i tried to find this guy who flashed my xbox but couldnt(i dont have its key). So is there any way around to get its key(real not fake one). Can i just update it into the latest firmware to flash its drive into stock f/w, will that restore my drives orignal key back? or key stuff is different thing than drive f/w flash? or im just screwed now without its original key? aww..
