Background information:

I have an old modded box with a Sammy spoofed as a Hitachi (the Sammy is not the original drive)
The box does not have a hard drive, I am using a 4GB USB stick (may or may not be relevant)

The box had not been on live in a while, I flashed with LT+ 1.0 and attempted to go on. Said there was an update, installed it (real fast) and restarted. Tried to sign in again, said I needed an update. Repeat forever.

Thought it might be because of the new dash and the flashing. Reverted to stock firmware. Was able to update to 13146 dash. All set. Flashed to LT 1.9. Back to same infinite loop (even though box is up to date).

Any ideas? Could it be because of the USB stick, should I try an HDD? Or does it have a problem with the firmware and is just responding oddly? I know when they announced the dash they said some drives would not work.

I haven't been following the scene too closely lately, I might just be out of the loop.
