Don't be such an idiot, how old are you? We are talking about good games, not about Kabuki Warriors and such.

I think a PS1 emulator would be quite possible on the Xbox - after all we've had such a thing on the PC for quite a while. And the machine to be emulated is like 10 years old :)

Anyways, the PS2 will be a LOT more difficult to emulate, of course. If we really would like to play PS2 games on the Xbox, the approach needed would be "as-close-as-possible-but-performance-orientated". Meaning that every single function should be optimized to the max, taking FULL advantage of the Xbox CPU, GPU & SPU. And aiming to a playable rather than pixel-perfect emulation. A straight port from the PC world would probably be waste of resources.

On a side note, A DC emu would be great as well. And props to the team who ported Daedalus on the Xbox, hope someday you will find the motivation to continue the project.

A PlayStation (released in 1995) emulator would be really possible, I do not know why it hasn't been done. Most PSX emulators are open-source...

Concerning the Dricas emulator... I believe that it would be possible, after a PC ver. of the emulator is accomplished.

i use epsxe with linux and it runs great so a standalone emu shouldn't be the problem.a port of epsxe with pete's plugins were a perfect combination

Heh... In moments like this I have regrets for deciding to concentrate only on the gfx side as a teenager - coding skills would help when dreaming about emu ports :)

Ok actually I'm grateful to myself ;D

Xbox will never be capable of emulating PS2!!! My god!

Xbox has CPU that is twice or perhaps 3 times week than PS2 Emotion Engine!

Just look at Xbox games. Not a single Xbox game can handle rock solid 60 FPS, because Celeron is weak and weak SUX!

Forget about emulating more powerfull PS2. Period.

I myself would rather see a DC emu ported, for the fact that I loved Street Fighter 3: Third Impact, and Res. Evil CV. As a coder myself I know how difficult these two would be. Right now I am currently working on completing a new N64 emu. I have open source for N64 and PSX emu's if anyones interested. But looking at this 64 code, I dont think I could handle PSX. I'm having a headache over 64 alone. Another thing, would'nt we have to develop a method of mounting iso's to make a decent PSX emu? Cd-rom emulation doesn't seem feasable.

Many PlayStation emulators are able to run games from .iso format images.

A PSX emulator is very possible, thechosenone. Like people have said, ePSXe works really well in linux, and thats with the burden of running another operating system. Even the DC has a psx emulator, abeit its slowness, but it's only in alpha, and expected to be full speed later.
