So i know you can jtag old 360 and modify the drive to pirate games, but is anyonw working on a mpdchip or software hack or something to hack All 360s of has that ship sailed and learning info on this one to hack the next xbox?

Its unlikley.

There has been ONE!! Yes one as in single exploit discovered to allow unsigned code to run on a 360.

Thats some very very tight security to crack.

Rare is not the word for it. I think it would be easier to look under a random rock and find a gold nugget instead of finding a Jasper jtag.

Lol i doubt it unless some one like geohot suddenly turns toward microsoft jt/hb/jb developement i might be inclined to believe it may happen. Hell ill take a crack at it ive got a spare box if someone is willing to teach me how to extract the firmware im sort of a intermediate programmer but afaik the original exploit isnt open source of course ive never bothered to check either.

Btw you wont last long on any HB/JT/JB scene long if you talk about piracy.

I just thought what if we didnt need to jtag it (permanetly) to run homebrew ive been in the psp/ios scene for some time and some of you might know what im talking about on ios its called tethered jailbreak and on psp youve got chickHEN basically the idea is that everytime you want to run unsigned code you run the exploit to buy you a window to execute your code .

So basically your running an exploit it starts a process that allows you to create threads for your unsigned code to run in and bam permanent jt/hb/jb no longer needed(for us newer 360 owners)

But we would still need a new exploit for it to work.

Ah.. They are all the exact same exploit with different entry methods the most effect being the jtag method as any system pre-update was capable of being exploited.

As has already been said: nope.

The 360's real weakness was the DVD drive due to the relative ease in changing the firmware. Since the e-fuse was blown, there's not much anybody can do because that was the only exploit found. The 360S might offer some hope, but it's pretty doubtful.

I actually have a Jtaggable 360 too, the damned thing is totally wrecked though. The guy who owned it before he gave it (yes, gave!) to me must have kept it in the washing machine on a constant dry spin

lmao the only way ur ever gonna see a slim do any kind of homebrew loading is to buy a slim xdk..
