Unable To Extract Gamerprofile From Jtag

I'm having an issue taking one of my profiles from my JTAG,
I have 3 profiles and I know they are all located in

hdd:\content\######\FFFE07D1\00010000\**********

from two of the ###### folders I can get the ********* files out, but on the third I can't copy it using the file mananager in xexmenu or FSD (ie copy it to a USB), and if I try to FTP it out via either xexmenu or FSD it shows as a folder (yellow folder icon) not a file (white file icon) like the other two, and the FTP will not change directory to it (as it's not a dir, it's a file) and trying to tranfer it just makes the ftp client time-out (flash FXP 3.2.0)
I tried formatting a USB with the xbox, and using the NXE 'move' option, took it to a PC and I can't find a tool that will open the data0000 data0001 etc files, xplore360 doesn't seem to read them and because the 360 formatted it as fat32 (with the hidden xbox360 folder to use as a MC) I can't use the 'open drive' option on xplore360.
I then switched the hard drive on my 360 and used NXE to move the profile onto this hard drive, it even generated a new string for the ######## folder name for this profile, but the same problem! I can't move it or copy it. The profile is around 8mb in size, and the other two I have are about 2mb and 6mb, is it due to the profile being too large?

Did you select active instead of passive when using xexmenu?

I would use usb xtaf to extract the files from a usb stick.

Xtaf GUI got the file out of the USB OK - what's this active/passive thing? Is that FTP mode? because it should have worked using the normal file manager copy/paste functions no?

On your ftp client software did you set passive or active? I had problems ages ago with xexmenu and ftp (filezilla) and it was solved using the active mode.
