get a program called SMC_IO its on xbins i believe

then use 360 flash tool

Extract your SMC

You will get 2 files

SMC_dec.bin and SMC_enc.bin

You need the decrypted one, SMC_dec.bin

copy if to where you have smc_io.exe or copy smc_io.exe to where you extracted

now

Get to a dos prompt,  (in windows vista and 7, you should just be able to type CMD in the address bar of the folder where these files are located and it will open the cmd prompt at the folder you are viewing)

get to the directory where smc_io.exe and smc_dec.bin are
then do the following command:

smc_io smc_dec.bin smc.bin

it will make a new patched smc.bin for you

Then use the GUI freeboot toolbox for 12611 and choose to make custom freeboot
Then click to create it, then it will pop open a folder where its temp files are, open the DATA folder and copy your SMC.bin to DATA folder, then click ok in freeboot toolbox, then it will finish, then flash your freeBOOT.bin

hi..

im in the same boat as the op. i followed boxxdr's tut and now im at the point where i need to patch the smc. im using smc_util_v2 and i tried typing the command bong420 wrote:

smc_io smc_dec.bin smc.bin

but i keep getting an error. after reading the read me in smc_util, i figured out the command i had to type was:

smc_util io smc_dec.bin smc.bin /i

when i type that, i get interactive mode with 4 options. below that im asked:

which i/o for tms? i type 3 (aud_clamp)
which i/o for tdi? i type 2 (db1f1)

and again ill get an error saying "ERROR, couldnt find TMS data pattern"

im using the original smc that i extracted from my original nand from a falcon mb. any help with what im doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.... thanks

Use the prepatched smc from Looouky's tutorial. Scroll down to step 6. There right there. Just make sure you rename the one you need to smc.bin. He did all the work for us.

No Problem. Glad to help. If you try smc_util_1v2 again, you need to use the smc_dec.bin extracted with 360_Flash_Tool_v0.97

To run the interactive mode for easy I/O configuration
smc_util io input_dec.bin output_dec.bin /i

 Just make sure you rename smc_dec.bin  to input_dec.bin. Rename your created output_dec.bin to smc.bin.

Cont with freeboot toolboc maker from best pigs or use fdbuild.
