If it is playing originals fine then you probably flashed it fine.

Try burning at 4x speed and make 100% sure you are burning using the .dvd file.
There are only 2 programs i suggest for burning IMGBURN and CLONECD

Some DVD drives in 360's are just old and tired and reading burned disks is about 30% hard to do then reading a original so you might just have a shit drive. You may also have a crummy burner that just doesn't do a good job on DL disks. I have always used Pioneer burners for my games and they are cheap and do a great job.

Yeah I burnt using Imgburn using the .dvd file ABGX created i wouldnt think that burning it a lil faster would really help make a huge difference, question are there only certain model dvd drives i can put in an xbox i cant just say take one out of a computer and through it in there right? and whats a pot tweek?

Yes, certain drives perform better in burn quality at 4x then they do at 2.4. The idea that slower is better is often not ture.

You must put another xbox 360 drive in and you need to flash the new drive with the key from your old one and if you care about xbox live at all you should be using the same make and version.

Also because you already replaced a benq with a hitachi no new games will work due to ap2.5 protection. (Fable 3, Ass Creed and Need For speed all have ap2.5) Hitachi does not currently support ap2.5

I thought the older hitachis didnt have ap25 so it wasnt an issue they could play anything?

If you have a system that originally came with a Samsung or Hitachi (up to v59) then you don't need to pass ap2.5 checks. If that system originally came with a benq or lite-on then the motherboard knows it should be capable of performing ap2.5 and when it fails the ap2.5 test your games fails to load and the security system logs the event so that it can rat you out to microsoft for a banning next time you connect to xbox live.

Ok so stay away from the ap2.5 games gotcha, but back to my current dilemma Im pretty sure the games fine but from what i read sounds like these old hitachis have laser issues I looked into the POT tweaks but i dont have an ohm meter to tell what im doing ive also read something about the laser reading to far up the disk and a rubbr band or piece of plastic on the tracks? do you know about either of these methods also i hear the LT firmware might be coming out for the old hitachis any day would that possibly solve this issue without me having to do all this hardware junk? thank you for your help
