oops sorry for the double paragraph above, I didnt realize I wrote it twice...and there's no edit feature
However, did I stump everyone with this one?
What are our options at this point? Is MLB 2K11 a legitimate 2.5 game?? It displays the game icon when I put it in the drive and it seems to read it fine when I start to launch it but the launch gets interrupted with a pop up that says my game needs a console update to play the game....Is that the typical issue right now?
thanks
If you've read the AP 2.5 FAQ posted on the Firmware section of the forum, you probably have your answer already. If not, well - go find it and read it.

In short, based on my understanding of your situation, you're screwed -- as it relates to playing
any AP 2.5 games on your console until you update the firmware and properly patch the ISO. Again, the AP 2.5 FAQ explains this very well.
Since you updated the dashboard from the disk, you overwrote the previous beta dash that allowed you to enter through the back door, so-to-speak (it was an AP 2.5 dash
without it being activated). There is
no way to downgrade once you've updated to a new dash.
Listen, to be honest, there's absolutely, positively
NO good reason to hold off on updating your drive's firmware to LT+ v1.1 at this point - unless you don't have the means to do so. AP 2.5 security checks are not going away and it's only going to get worse going forward. Therefore, it will be critical for people to stay updated on the firmware front while also making sure the game ISO's are properly patched through ABGX360.
It's time to update your firmware or you won't be able to play most of the good new games...
