I've read this post with interest and I'm ready to try this, just wanted to check 2 things with you first please.

I have an old dash that will work.

I think my current drive flash is 1.61 I know at the moment I don't have to use a boot disc to play any game.

I understand the procedure so I will follow the upgrade steps as you have shown.

I don't currently have AC/B or NFS so I've downloaded the dash updates on page 18, but the update says it is a beta dash and I'm worried this won't for me, I'm confused if that file is for old drive flash's?

Assuming it isn't and you tell me it is ok to apply, does this mean I will now need to use a boot disc being on 1.61 to get these new games to work or am I ok to just put the disc in and play like I currently do?

You will end up with a beta dash, because the final does have the AP2.5 protection. But do not worry, all games will work with it, so you can proceed without any problem.
As for your doubt about needing the boot disk, that's right, because of your oldish customized fw, you will need it, but only to boot AP2.5 games. All the unprotected games will load just fine.

It'll work just fine, since the updates are actually from kinect games.
Go on and buy the system.

is it true that if i update i can no longer play ap 2.5 games? (was able to play them because of your trick).
i have a lite-on with - i think - 1.61 no stealth firmware.

Actually it's true. A very recent fps not yet out in stores has a mandatory dashboard update. This possibly has a new wave 10, which will require the new dash. Installing it will overwrite the dash exploit described in this thread, so who still doesnt want to install LT+ should stay away from it. Also keep in mind that this new dash will enable the AP2.5 protection on Halo Reach, MW2, and Black Ops.

I loved your method. It brought great joy.
Now sadness is upon us.
This FPS looked awesome on the trailer but many say it sucketh the bone...I'll never get to know.
I used the activation disc to load it up and then BAM prompted for update...I declined

i ask about the game called bulletstorm( just relaesd)  it needs update to play..so does the your exploit (avdenture update+animal update+ ac update)  can make the bulletstorrm work like assassin creed  and nfs???.. EVEN i make the bulletstorm update(12625)   or it dangerous to agree the bulletstorm update??note  i have ixtreme 1.51

Yes, indeed it's a shame, we need to choose... But having so many, recent and not, games to play, I can easily postpone this one FPS for now.

No, it wouldnt work because it's a wave 10 game and it requires the last 12625 dash (built in in the disk. In order to play it, it will require you to accept the update before).

suppose i patch the wave 10 game to  wave 2  by 360WavesPatcher  and agree the update in the game last dash (12625)  and the game is ap 25 free  

can work now or still not??

It still wont.
It will ask you for the new dash just the same. And the new dash will overwrite the beta dash you've been installing with this exploit. So, this game will play, since it's AP2.5 free, but all those that are not, won't work anymore.

Folks....I just downloaded and installed MLB2K11 and it forced me to a new Dashboard update to play the game...now the game icon loads up but now prompts me for another update from the dvd to play the game and it errors out saying disc is unreadable!

What are my options at this point?.....I now have a new dashboard that has Kinetic stuff on it that was installed by the MLB2K11 disc and I cant run this game??


I have ixtreme 1.4 or 1.5 I think......and I have a BenQ drive

I also have a Datek XPort 360 transfer cable and software....can I downgrade the dashboard or something?
