Supposedly you replace the xex of the game itself and it somehow disables ap 25

All games are signed by Microsoft's private key and modifying them breaks this signature. Jtag/dev boxes are the only way to launch un-signed code.

Alright well patches aside, any thoughts on whether playing the ap 25 game on a different box but with same HDD would cause any thing?

HDD has nothing to do with it.

Which I understand, but the issue I'm concerned with is the data which is data for an ap 25 game being saved into the HDD and then that same HDD being inserted back into a updated dash xbox.  Will they be able to detect that an ap 25 backup had been played on a old-dashboard xbox based off information saved on the HDD from the game?  If not, this could this be a possible workaround to play backups of ap 25 games safely until new FW is out

a.p2.5 check results are store on motherboard nand. Search for threads on xval to learn more.

Ahh, yeah I've checked all 3 boxes with xval already and everything's still clean, I didn't know that the ap checks were stored in the NAND.

Security checks are only stored if one fails. As long as your box never fails, the data in your nand is clean. This is what xval looks at. Since the older dash doesn't utilize ap2.5 checks, dont update your offline box and you will be fine.
