Can A Flagged 360 Be 'unflagged'

Well your console is not dead.

Enjoy your offline backups for as long as you want. If you go online and get the official ban then you will lose some of the console abilities but it will still load backups.

I suggest you just stay off Live for now on.

Since it is likely you was on Live since last summer (since you say you was offline since last November I would assume you was on Live before then) your console likely cant be jtaged.

Thanks for the reply - yes I was online right up until the banhammer, took it offline after a few days and I know I'm definitely flagged.  SO theres nothing I can do to get it online then?  I am just using it offline now and for the media center.

Nope, if you're flagged it's all over for you. If in the future hackers find a way to do the jtag hack on newer kernel versions then it might be possible to change your key vault but that might never happen or be years away from ever being figured out.

I have an unmodded Elite manufactured Nov 2009 - what's the situation with detectable firmware and hacking these days?  Again forgive me, as I said, I've not looked at the scene for a long time now.

Leave it untouched for Live. Use your flagged console for backups. You can go ahead and put the latest update on a USB thumb drive and update it so you can transfer your profile back and forth from your flagged backup use console and your Live console by putting your profile on the USB drive and swapping it back and forth.
