Freestyle Dash 1.20 Copy Dvd Problem
« on: August 01, 2010, 03:16:00 PM »

hello hares my setup hope you can help thank you

I have done the Jtag hack on my Falcon X360 i have Injecting XeLLous into Free60 Xell and Flashed it to my x360, then I flashed latest XBR (XBReboot or what ever its called)

I have then formatted a new none official HDD inside M$ enclosure using ms dash.

I then booted XexMenu1.1 from burned dvd and copy CODE999 to M$ official 256 MB Memory unit (Content> 0000000000000000 folder)  this is so i can boot XexMenu1.1 from M$ Memory unit instead of HDD as all the guides indicate

all went well,

i then copy "freestyle" folder onto the root directory of my 1gb usb flash drive, i then used XexMenu1.1 to copy freestyle-usb from USB to M$ 256 MB memory unit (Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00007000\freestyle-usb)

i can boot FreeStyle Dash 1.20 from M$ dash, when i first booted it said, copy FreeStyle Dash files to usb or HDD, I choose copy to USB, FreeStyle Dash 1.20 now fully booted with no problem.

the problem arises when i try to copy dvd game to ether USB flash or HDD.

the copy process starts briefly then says copy completed but the status shows 0 files out of 2530 copied and 0 MB out of 3.32GB copied

so nothing copied, i have tried both USB drive and HDD, what seem to be the problem?

i have read that XeLLous/XBR only makes one partition a new HDD and not 1-3 when formatted using MS dash so the HDD is not computable with Xbox1 games, could this be the problem?

Or could the problem be because I have chosen to copy FreeStyle Dash files to usb and not HDD??

any help is appreciated and apologies for the long description on the step I took to install jtag, I just wanted to point out what I have done so far for reference in case there is a problem with the step, this is my first ever Jtag hack. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

thank you  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

update

when I manually copy all file from Xbox360 DVD game to a directory on my HDD then I can play that games from that location, so its not like the HDD is write protected it dosent seem to be an issue with the DVD drive hack FW, but for some reason the copy dvd function dose not copy the files to the game folder???

does Freestyle Dash copy games files to partition 3 or something??

hope someone can help.

i think i ended up with a half baked Jtag'ed x360, the game installation process is F'ed up.

i also hear something about the usb on the x360 is limited to 16GB???

all this turned out to be more limited then the wii exploit, on that usb loader had no problem but on this its completely different, nothing works but a old DOS like screen (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

the game copy dvd thing doesn't give an error but fails to copy all files???

the Jtag hack was supposed to be 7 on a 10 scale, i found the hardware part to be a peace of cake particularly since I have done more difficulty hack in the past on the PS2 and Wii, we are talking about 29+ pins to solder on micro contacts.

then again the home-brew on the x360 is still in its infancy,   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

hope someone can help

UPDATE

Problem solved

To anyone else that’s having a similar problem, its to do with the version of FREESTYLE DASH Version 1.20 and older has this problem but the latest Version, FreeStyle Dash 2.0 alpha rev1044 works perfectly.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

sometimes this forum can be the most helpful, other times it can be more worst then an 10 month old dog crap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)
