I have a jtag box, a halo 3

the jtag is 100% successful as far as I can tell, I have freeboot, xexdash on there, and under the configuration where it shows the temps, it shows CPU at 45C GPU 50C EDRAM 1.0C MB 36C and whenever I play a game the fans get super load and the xbox shuts off, the EDRAM jumps from the 1.0C to well over 100C

Is this something I can fix? It's very annoying, the xbox will 4RR the boot up afterwards, and then work fine again until I try something video intensive.

MB temp looks a bit high mine is 28-34
and edram temp don't look right mines around 47 maybe something shorting and over heating console

Looks like your EDRAM sensor is broken and it thinks it is overheating.

What does the GPU temp say when the EDRAM jumps to 100+? It's still normal?

It's either a broken contact in the GPU BGA which might be fixed by reflowing or it is internally damaged within the GPU substrate which if your lucky you might be able to permanently cause it to disconnect by heating with heatgun. I've only seen this in motherboards that people have bolted nearly to death.

If heatgun can not fix problem then you will have to look into replacing the GPU completely with a reballed GPU.

GPU stays the same temp, normal.. and the EDRAM jumps to 100+
