Nandpro20d Help!

So after im running nandpro, and i enter the command to read my nand, it says:

testing LPT device address:0378
testing LPT device address:0278
testing LPT device address:03bc
could not detect a flash controller!
can not continue

Im on windows xp
im in ECP mode on my LPT port
yes the xbox is plugged in, but not turned on.

anyone have this problem? any tips/advise? thanks!

did you install the PortIO drivers?


How is your cable set up? Have you double checked all the connections? Did you use the resistors?

yes the drivers are installed. and i didnt do the work on it. so i dont kno :/

what OS are you running? I couldn't get it to work on vista FWIW, but switching to XP made things golden right away.


The biggest culprit would be bad solder joints, poor grounding, or crossed wires in the cable or on the mobo AFAIK, but don't count me on that 100%--wait for a pro to step in here

oh wow i just did a hard reset of my jtag and it worked!
but then a few more lines down it said:

couldnt open xell.bin for read


Btw im on XP

i had the same issue with nandpro 20D (D!) when injecting xell into my nand image; just go back to nandpro 20B (B!); that solved my problem...
