Cygnos360 V2 Rev. F Or Maximus 360 Nandflasher
« on: May 08, 2010, 04:44:00 AM »

Ok....so I have been doing research. I have been seeing a lot of stuff saying that if you have 8xxx dashboard, your screwed. No homebrew, no backup, NOTHING!

Is there a way around this? I noticed that Maximus may be able to downgrade the dash/kernel? I may be wrong, but there has to be a way around this problem with the dashboard! But theres SOOOOOOOOOOOO much talk about this and that and then-some! So if any of you guys can give me a hand here, Id really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!!!!!

The security system works very well in the 360. It only took hackers 4+ years to break it in a way that was usefull. Microsoft wasted no time patching the problem and they locked down the updates by blowing a efuse. The encryption is very good or we would just brute force it.

My cousin has a 360 with the 9199 Dash....I heard that is doable, but will it work with the Cygnos360 V2 Rev. F?

The search function always gives me an error (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif). LOL

I don't understand why it is so hard for people to understand that 7371 or older only or no homebrew?

There is no magic device that will ever overcome this.

Maybe someday years down the road a completely new security hole will be found but for now the jtag type hack is closed on all newer dashboards.

Its hard to understand because THERES SO MUCH INFO OUT THERE. And as far as I saw a few places, they said that there IS a way to jtag the 9199 dash. I have done google search for hours. and When I use this search it gives me an error.

I guess what IM trying to say, is that people who updated their systems or bought new systems want some kind of HOPE in order to do this fun time. Just like the xbx 1, there were updates left and right. 1.0 - 1.6...and I know that the 360 is a different, but id figure that the programmers would find the fix fast, but i know, it took em a LONG time to get this far.....

there is no way to do the jtag hack, the security hole its based on is years old and with the august 2008 updated ms closed the last hole that was possible to use it. So if you have a 8XXX dashboard or newer there is NO WAY you can currently run homebrew on your console.
Maybe its possible in the future but who knows....
If you really want to homebrew, get a jtag console from the board or get a exploitable older console from ebay (they are selling quite a few exploitable 2009 jaspers there)

PS: if you allready have jtaged your console you can run a modified version of 9199, but you cant hack a xbox that was updated to 9199 in the normal way (live, gameupdate)

Mine was an older ver but some how got the 8498 update.

Now...I read somewhere that its possible to solder off the efuse and the bridge the points together! It SOUNDS like it would work. But I dont know if thats true or not.

And just to let ya know...I dont play XBL and I wont play online with my 360, so I dont care if I lose that function on my 360. LOL! I wanna be able to run homebrew and such on my 360!! So if any of you can verify this lil trick, MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!

And to everyone that HELPED me, thank you!! I know it gets repetitive,  about this issue, but theres tons of different stories out there that got me hella lost, but to the people who have  explained to me....Thank you very much. I will send you a few free shirts from my clothing sponsor for your efforts on helping me thought this! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

The thing you solder off is a resistor that controlls the efuse circuit. The efuses are inside the CPU.
You have already blown the efuse that locks you out of jtag goodness. You would need a new CPU that has not been updated past 7371 and its matching nand data and all kinds of things that would make it cheaper to just buy a already done system.

If your dash is greater then 7371 you can forget about the jtag hack for now. Go find another xbox that is exploitable.

Shit in the last 2 week i have found 2! One I got for $40 with a broken dvd drive (console only) and the other $80 with nothing wrong with it and HDMI and everything included.

So please give up. If any progress is made on hacking newer kernals you will find it front page here on xbox-scene.
