Hi all, first post here, so be gentle...


I have a1 1/2 yr old baby girl who has found out how to eject my 360 disc/take the discs out of the case and play frisbee with our dog. Needless to say I have alot of ruined discs now, but I recently started purchasing disc protection with the games. I bought FF XIII (which is pretty good), and with the same playful nature my daughter has, I've had to go back to replace the game 4 times now! LOL I'm running out of excuses and places I can return them now, so I figured I would make a backup and mod a dvd drive to play them. So I buy a RRoD console for dirt cheap, fix it and mod the dvd drive (hitachi 3120 - modded with ixtreme 1.51), everything goes smoothly.

I made a backup of my game (disc 1 to test it out), and try it out... To my amazement it boots up, and starts the game. At this point I have no HD or mem module connected so the game whines about not having a profile, not being able to save yadda yadda. I go through the game for about 15 minutes watching all the intro videos to make sure there wasn't any corruption in the game, and it goes along well.

Now, I took my HD from my unmodded 360, and put it on the modded one to save game progression, and when I start the game it boots up fine, but then I get to the save location selection screen. I select the HD, then it goes to a black screen, and never leaves. So I try without the HD again, and it does the same now. The original does the same in the modded box... Could this be dvd drive problem? All other games work fine, I even made a backup of another and it works fine.

It has the latest dashboard update, so I don't know if that's an issue.

Any help would be appreciated...
