Non-ghetto Diy Jtag Plans?

The resistors and lpt cables are just as good as anything, you just have to find the way it works with your setup I have done 4 JTAG's with the same cable never had an issue, to get "non-ghetto" you would have to buy a $50 cygnos

But that's precisely what I'm talking about - a properly designed circuit doesn't require you to "Find the way it works" - maybe the answer is buffers or something like that, but experimenting with resistors isn't the "correct" way.

Why dont you just buy a $20 LPT programmer, and call it a day.  I've done 30+ JTAG installs and NEVER once had an issue.  Never even had bad blocks.

Actually, I just purchased this last month:  http://www.diygadget...ity-bundle.html

No problems with that either.  Everything is all setup for you, you just solder the wires to the board, read your flash, flash XBR, done.  Literally only takes 20-30 minutes per XBOX from start to finish.

After that, just JTAG another persons XBOX and it more than pays for itself.  I've already made a couple thousand dollars off of a $20 investment.

As for running wires thru the console, theres really no need for that.  You coud just flash upgrades via USB.
