Easiest Way To Do Game Updates Offline?
« on: April 01, 2010, 09:05:00 PM »

I've already searched the forums and didn't get a answer. I saw the way to do a dashboard update with a USB flash drive or a disk, but is there any way I can do the same thing with a game update? I can't find any tutorial.

I have a friend with a banned 360 and he wants to do the update but obviously can't. Considering he doesn't know how or want to take apart his hard drive and connect it to the PC, is there an easy way like the dashboard? Thanks in advance.

Your friend needs to buy a HDD transfer hit. (can be found online for cheap). He can than download title updates online and simply copy and paste them to the cache folder on the xbox HDD.

Yeah I was kind of trying to avoid this since I wanted to do it tonight, but if there is no other way without buying external kits or messing with the drive to connect to the PC, then I'm kind of SOL.
