February 2009 Jasper W/6750 Cb
« on: March 31, 2010, 02:04:00 PM »

Excuse my ignorance, but I was under the impression that anything older than May-mid June of 2009 manufacture had the unpatched CB. I got a NIB, sealed 60gb Pro system on ebay with a Feb 24 2009 man. date, dumped the nand 3 times and both Degraded and 360 Flash tool are telling me its a 6750CB (unexploitable)

So my question is, is this legit or did I get hosed? The box appeared brand new, the console looked to be untouched.

Just want a 2nd opinion before I contact the seller

Thanks.

Yes. The only thing I noticed that may be out of the ordinary is that the wireless controller was not in the little square box in the bottom like it usually is. Other than that everything looked perfect.

was it sealed with tape or the circle seal?

i'm pretty sure you got a refurb. only way it would have that CB on it. And if the controller was out of place, i pretty much would expect it was opened.

It was the circle seal, but they aren't hard to peel and re-stick. I'm pretty sure there was foul play somewhere, just wanted to check and see if anybody else had ever seen a console that old with the patched CB.

Gamestop has been selling "refurbished" pros for a while now that for all practicle purposes looks just as if it came from the store shelf with an older manufacture date. All of these have the updated cb.

But if you want to be sure all is good go to the system settings of the console and look at the serial number. See if it matches the serial number on the back of the console.

what dashboard version did the console have when you first power it up?

for a Feb. 2009 the highest possible dash version it could have is 2.0.7363.0, and I would bet it would have 2.0.7357.0, anything higher than these would indicate a refurbished unit or updated used console.
