Over the years I have seen some crazy things.

2 that comes to mind is one guy that tried to solder a mod chip to his Xbox 1 by using a blow torch. And one guy that tried to install a passkey chip in a Hitachi using supper glue.

Seriously people do this? Have they even looked at the pictures of what it is supposed to look like? I have found that a lot of people around where i live are really dumb , maybe most people are.  But how do you come up with either of these 2 messes by looking at the pictures of what to do WOW!!

The only reason i use tape is i don't have any shrink tube right now , and those arent burns i just didn't clean off the rosin off the board.

well, at least if you x-clamp the case won't get in the way

Lol yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm guessing he was missing a T8 for the small black screws and instead of...buying one...he just cut the case away and yanked it out.

He managed to botch not one but two alternative solder points for db1f1. This guy is a menace to society...

Installing the LPT and setting up the JTAG is actually a pretty easy soldering job. But, I don't get how someone can be so horrible at soldering, and still try to set this up on their system, or try to sell one. It's sad, so sad. That Alladin modchip is classic. I don't think that dude understood what "Quick Solder" means.

Wow that's some quality work there what did he use a chop saw to cut the case lol. And omg that aladdin chip install looks like it has more solder then the whole xbox itself, are those post made from solder themselves?

It's hard to not feel good about yourself seeing idiots like this.

They either had dollar bills over their eyes, or were too excited about all the rep they were gonna get in COD while they gave the console a "solder facial".

If jtaging a console is for professionals what are we going to say for the old ps2 days with 40 solder points and much more smaller points,or for the new pstwo systems or even the first wii days with the argon chips on d2c drives.
Jtag soldering job is really easy if you know basic soldering knowlege(experience). The guys that fixed these consoles must be kids    tongue.gif

hey!!!!!!!!!! im 16 years old and ive done my homemade connectivity, kit my pro, lots of dvd mods, a couple of jtags and 20+ fixes on rrod. so not all kids are retarded like that. ive been in this business since the days where you had to swap memory sticks in the psp to play pspchess. i also jailbreak ipods. mod wiis and when i get a ps3 im going to start putting homebrew on those.

So RESPECT KIDS.java script:emoticon('',%20'smid_17')

I dont talk about solf mods, but about some serious hadware mods. And i think that this hard mod is really easy(as an installation of course!!!),actually one of the easiest hard mods in hacking scene(not only in xbox360 hacking scene). This one,the psx chips, the first wii d2a,d2b(with no cut pins) drives with 6 points and original xbox.Easy, clear 2mm points.

Solf mods arent a big deal, even for a dump guy!
He just downloads a step by step tutorial(hundrends out there) and he does these blind steps without knowing what he is actually doing and he actually makes it.
Where most of these guys stuck is where you need some real experience and this experience is the hard mods.
