I would assume if as long as it's NTSC/U or RF then it would work.

Sometimes I use Gamer Picture Injector to check for the game ID for my release to make sure I get the right TU. On there if I select United States and Gears of War 2 it gives me 4d53082d.

I would assume the Game ID needs to match in order for it to recognize that TU as the TU for that game.

as this topic is being discussed here, i have a question regarding a specific title update. in particular borderlands tu 3 (TU_1A581V7_000000C000000.00000000000O3). i d/led off xbuc, and placed it in the cache folder, but for some reason, the game is not updating to the latest achievements (for general knoxx dlc). it has all the achievements through mad moxxi dlc. this is preventing me from running the general knoxx dlc. anyone else have this issue, or have a suggestion to fix this? thanks.

Is the General DLC showing up when you start up borderlands?

I had an issue when I copied it over from my live box where it kept coming up saying it was corrupt. I finally got it straightened out.

I just checked mine quick for you and it's going up to a possible 1500 for Borderlands.

thanks for the reply. well, the gen knoxx dlc is on the hdd. however, the game is still listed as 60 achievements and 1250 gs. when the game starts up, it'll try loading up the tu and dlc (works fine with zombie and moxxi), but it'll give a message about "some of your dlc is corrupt and cannot be loaded". i've tried to apply the update prior to installing the dlc, and it still won't update to 1500gs. any thoughts? thanks.

yeah that means the general DLC is corrupt.

Fire up xm360 and make sure it's unlocked and try using the repair filenames option on it.

You'll find both of those options under the Show DLC button.

That is what I had to use to get mine working.

lurkin...nice, dude...your suggestion totally worked! i hadn't tried out xm360 before, but now i know it's capabilities. the dlc was locked, and was easily unlocked using xm360. everything is working fine now. i appreciate the help.

I got a Jtag Xbox, but TU's won't work for me when i simply put them into the Cache folder of the HDD1. Strangely, I can use Forza 3 DLC (which means that the TU applies), but for Fight Night Round 4 I do not get to choose the button controls in the game settings (which was part of the first patch). What am I doing wrong? Is it possible that the new button feature is a DLC and not a TU?

Also I dont quite understand "(game must be in the format XexLoader/XexMenu extracts the game)". My games are located on an external hard drive (USB0:\Games\).

After following the tutorial in post#2, do I still have to put the TU into the Cache folder?

Still cant get it working although I followed all the steps of the tutorial

All TU's go into the cache folder on HDD1. Did you perhaps get the wrong TU for FNR4? Like perhaps an NTSC/J or Pal if you need NTSC/U?

I looked and it seems like all the FNR4 TU's are Region Free. Are you using update #4 Make sure the media idea is 4F71DF30 for your version of FNR4 otherwise it won't use that TU.

yeah the newer forza 3 definitely needs the TU because when I copied over the jalopnik pack to my jtag from my live box, forza told me I needed to update in order to use all my DLC. So I copied that update over and it all worked then. the XBUC didn't have the latest forza 3 update so after I copied it over to my jtag unit I uploaded it to XBUC.

I definately have all the DLC's installed, so i guess the TU's are working as well. I suppose the button controls patch for FNR4 is DLC and not TU. http://uk.xboxlive.i.../1001647p1.html There it says DLC for example.

Has anyone been able to do the roster update on madden 10? I used this method to patch and game works fine just old rosters.

Yes. Just connect to Xbox Live, put in your Black Ops Game Disc and launch it.
If updates are available it will tell you before the game launches, just download them at this point.

lol, try finding the updates in the usual place and copying it across via usb key.
