I have a banned xenon jtagged and working fine...

I want to unban.

It seems I can use ANY kv from any board and inject it into my banned nand.

Right?

I have a rrod opus and all I would have to do is use nandpro kv raw command to get the kv from that unit so I would not have to get the cpu key because I just need the kv from it right?

If I were to purchase on... if they gave me a nand image than yes I would need their cpu key to get the kv right.?

Wrong,

You need to have the cpu key off the console the KV came from. The KV is encrypted with the CPU key so you must decrypt it first with the correct cpu key and then encrypt it with the cpukey of the console it is going into.

Yes, you need both consoles cpu keys to do this.

Ahh ok of course the kv is holding the cpu key from the other console..

So that is what the kv.dec file is  (decrypted)  and you only get that by inputing the cpu key in ok.

So I am not able to get it from the RROD unit because currently there is no way to get the cpu key without taking a picture of it on your tv right?

If someone was to give me kv_dec.bin then I do not need the cpu key.

It is possible to get the key with no video thru xellous (i think) but i don't think xellous will run with the system in a RROD state.

Would you be interested in making a trade? Send me the motherboard and if i can fix RROD i will give you the KV if i can keep the motherboard. I do complete GPU reballing here so if its fixable i am the guy to do it.

I have done the xclamp many times, this board for some reason it just does not work.. I have tried the heat gun also, but more than likely that did nothing since i did not want to burn anything up (prob did not get it hot enough)

Anyway it is secondary code of 1022  and of course sometimes 1021

I also am finding multiple threads of people saying it worked for them and other saying it did not.
How would you get the cpu key through xell with no video?

Well i have not done this but my understanding is you flash it with xellous and then connect to it thru its IP address. I guess you would have to look into your router to see what ip it grabbed seeing as you cant see anything on the screen. You should look around for some posts about using xellous and you might find your answer.

You can't safely fix RROD with just a heat gun. Problem is that when you only heat one side of the board the board warps and this actually makes your problems worse. Also the lead free solder they use is horrible and won't flow good without using reflow flux. So you need to heat the bottom with something like a skillet and then heat gun the top and inject flux under the chip. But also be aware that the more you heat the chip the more the chance is that it will get destroyed. I have some very expensive equipment here in my shop that make this job very easy.

I also should mention i have tons of KV's + CPU keys here. My customers don't use live with there xbreboot systems so maybe if thats all you need we could work something out.
