Hey guys!

I want to flash my xbox 360 samsung ms28 drive. But i dont want to buy a sata card. I have some sata ports on my motherboard. Cant i use them?
My motherboard is Asus m4a79xtd EVO. The sata controller is: Generic Marvell 61xx Raid Controller.

Please answer if you know the answer.

jungleflasher sais its mtkflash compatible. so i thin it is but i have another problem. With verything i try it always says vendor intro failed.

Are you using a tutorial to do this? IIRC if it's a stock firmware you don't do a Vendor intro, you just click Sammy unlock.

Edit: If you are upgrading a ixtreme firmware then you have to power the drive with the tray half open.

Make sure you read through the JF tutorial on flashing a Samsung drive.

I did read the tutorial. But when I click Sammy Unlock. It says. Stage 1 Complete
Stage 2 complete
Stage 3 Complete.
And then it says vendor intro failed.

I always used dosflash32 on the samsung, then on reading intro, turn the xbox on and off and it would start reading it (always got hassles with jungle flasher, so stuck to what i knew (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

Are you doing it with a connectivity kit or using the Xbox to power the drive?
