E74 On Falcon Jtag, After Reflow 0022!
« on: February 24, 2010, 03:53:00 AM »

I have a Falcon jtagged 360 and it was working fine until I got E74 on it.

I sent it to someone to get it reflowed and upon arriving back, It had another error, displaying E10/ 0022.

I have now sent it to my mate who will redo the wires of the jtag but it might not even the problem, They possibly damaged the board during reflow. I am extremely disappointed how an E74 turned into a more serious error and I just have to pray my mate can revive the box.

That's what i was thinking. I sent it to people who have a reflow oven but chances are they either, damaged the board or didn't reflow correctly.

I gave it to my mate to try and do something with but he tried to reflow the GPU with flux and reflow gun but hasn't had any sucess.

The jtag wires has been checked and diodes have been replaced and that still didn't solve the error.

I am alittle annoyed how e74 error code, which is related to the scaler, Can turn into 0022. It's not even funny. I did replace the clamps myself and it worked for a couple weeks but that wouldn't of damaged it and they put this as their reason why it can't be fixed because someone attempted a repair on it. They drilled the case for sod all really which i am not happy about. There was no reason they had to do that.
