The missing wire is just Ground, looks like that's done with the alligator clip there.

Double check your wiring with this thread. http://forums.xbox-s...o...691873&st=0

You may not need those 100ohm Resistors, some PCs have a lower voltage on the LPT port, so if they're in there it doesn't work.

without doing the math, the 100ohms shouldnt phase a 3.3v lpt ... ut will keep a 5v from reading all low

but you didnt plug in the xbox ... plugged into the brick but not turned on ... again ... going without some whitesheets on the mobo and nand chip, im assuming the uncripple guide says to have it in there so the nand chip has current to do its tasks .. the connection o pc just initiates the tasks, and reads output/provides input.

Also make sure you're keeping the cable as short as possible and have the LPT port setup correctly in the BIOS.

@ lamebmx - I didn't fool with the math either, but with them installed it didn't work here at all and keep returning improper flash config values, removed them and it worked fine the first time.

i just got done building my lpt cable upside down. i coulda swore pinouts were wrote up facing the connector, not from the ass end of the connector. but then i picked up a new db-25 and it was labelled and proved me wrong (the first was a 2 butchered serial cable plates)

Thanks for the suggestions guys but still, nothings working. The cable is as short as I can make it and I triple checked to make sure all the wires are in the right place and that there are no short circuits or anything. The LPT settings are all correct in the BIOS (it's enabled and set to SPP/Normal mode) for both the computers I'm trying this on. I've tried it with resistors and diode, no resistors and diode, and no resistors and no diode for both computers. I have the 360 hooked up to my outlet and the video cable plugged in (but not connected to a TV or monitor) - I've tried it with the 360 turned on and also turned off (even though it shouldn't make a difference). Also, when the diode is hooked up, it's at the 360 motherboard end, not the DB25 female end, as recommended. When trying to read my NAND NandPro cannot detect my flash. I've ready somewhere that I need a really old PC with Windows XP on it for it to detect the 360 through LPT port - however, one of the PCs I'm using is really old and has Windows 98 on it - I'm going to reformat the HDD for it and put XP in it and see if that works.
