Playing Games Off Hdd Question
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:13:00 AM »

I have a jtag 360 running XBR3. I can install games throught xexmenu and boot then that way with no issues but i would like to be able to play them throught the retail xbox360 dash under my game library. My understanding is that you just copy game to HDD from game options on the standard 360 dash, Then grab the folder located in the content\0000000000 folder with string file in it for the game you want and patch the string file. (by string  file I mean the file thats just a bunch of numbers). Is this correct, if yes what do I use to patch the file with or do i need to copy the game directly to the content\0000000000 folder, if that is what I need to do what do I name it so it will show up under my game library on retail dash. I"ve search around and cant find any info on how to do this. I'm sure its out there but I just cant seam to find it.

It should work. I have both the XexMenu file and the Nxe2God file within 000000000000000/C0DE9999/00080000/ and they both show up in my Game Library. I just started up XexMenu and copy-pasted the Nxe2God file from my flash drive into the 00080000 folder.

yeah thats what I did too but didnt work for some reason. Will try again must have done something wrong. I'm new to the homebrew scene, just found out about this jtag hack last week and did it to mine the same day. I just happend to have all the parts I needed laying around the house. Thanks for the help.
