You cant just rename xell-1f.bin to updflash because xell-1f needs xell to be flashed so what you do is get the copy of xell for your xbox then use nandpro to write xell-1f into xell then rename ur xell.bin to updflash.bin

nandpro xell.bin: +W16 xell-1f.bin 40 to inject xellous into xell

That doesn't work because flash360 will not flash updflash.bin unless it's the full 16mb.  I don't have my flashing hardware, I left it with the friend who did the soldering for me, so I can't use nandpro to write the modified nand back.

Given the black screen when i turn it on with a wired controller (used my Rock Band guitar) in the rear usb port, and the same black screen sometimes if I start with the tray held out ala ddxcb's video, I think the xell in my original flash is corrupt.  I've created a new one from the original XBR3, injected my kv and config and xellous (xell-2f.bin), will see if I can flash that back, and see what happens.

Just get a cheap media center remote and open the Disk Tray using the IR from that. Will probably be useful to have for the future anyways.
