Jtag Soldering Problem / Help?

I think most people have a problem with soldering to that point. It seems to be something to do with the heat being drawn away very quickly. It's a ground point so you can use an alternative if you like. The one in this pic will do....

yeah,that point is always tricky.
i usually fill it with solder before soldering the wire,makes things alot easier.

yeah i do same add little flux first burn it then build a solder pad

also i use the alt ground for falcons , that one for xenons

that explains that then, i was removing the solder from those points using desolder braid to allow me to add some header pins and that one just would not budge, i figured it was just me.

ended up heating the pin enough to push it into the solder in the end, nice to know other people suffer with that point smile.gif
