How long is the cable that you've constructed?  Some people, myself included, had better luck after trimming down the total length to 1.5ft or shorter.  If yours is longer than that, I suggest you do the same and let us know how that goes.

Also, you can go into your BIOS set-sup and look for options related to your parallel port mode.  If you have a mode explicitly labeled as SPP mode, you should use that.  Otherwise, post your options and we might be able to help.

The flash config you're listing is fine for a 16mb Jasper, which means your setup is ok. As said in the post above, try grounding - run a wire from the metal chassis of the DB-25 plug to the metal chassis of the 360 (or one of the large copper pads around the screw mounts on the motherboard). It's all in my troubleshooting guide in my sig below.

its not ground, i left that xbox alone for a day, I just flashed a Jasper 512MB and that works great, i am back to the Jasper 12mb

I am now using Looouky method with xellous, it worked great for my Jasper 512 but now i still can do this other jasper.

I have flashed it with everything i can think of and every way. nothing works i ether get E72, E79 error, blank screen or i get stuck on the Xbox 360 logo screen on boot up and i also got the blank screen with xmas lights!!!!

this is what i have flashed it with

XBR_Jasper16_8955_3.bin
with and without the config file and the 2 diodes

XBR_Jasper16_8955_3a.bin
with and without the config file and the 2 diodes

XBR_Jasper16newSB_8955_3.bin
with and without the config file and the 2 diodes

I also flashed it back to original and it worked, the only thing that doesnt work is the ethernet, i cant pick up an IP from DHCP anymore.
