Couple Questions About Falcon Jtag

Did you make a backup of your original NAND? To get your config you type:

nandpro nandbackup.bin: -r16 config.bin 3de 2

Then flash xbr and type:

nandpro lpt: -w16 config.bin 3de 2

If you keep getting an RROD after you flash your kv and config then your wires either aren't soldered to the correct points or there is a cold joint somewhere.

That's too many bad block errors, make sure there is no interference in the room like a phone or any wireless signals. I found it helpful to lay the top of the case over the metal frame so most of the wiring was covered up, this helped prevent any interference. It's more likely though that it's bad soldering.

Yeah I have 4 or 5  original matching nand dumps.  biggrin.gif

You thought there was too many read errors before? I just looked and there's a WHOLE lot more. Basically every block from 200 up has an error.  cussing.gif

No idea what happened, but I think I'm going to flash the original NAND back and check for errors on that before I do XBR again.

Hmm, lately this thing won't let me edit my posts so I have to keep making new ones. huh.gif

Anyway, I flashed back to the original nand and it booted up fine, so I hooked it back up to my pc and extracted the rawkv.bin and the rawconfig.bin and injected those into xbr. Then I flashed that and I got the setup screen for 8955.  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Thanks for all the help, guys! I'm super stoked. biggrin.gif

One last question, my first 360 was banned in the most recent banwave, so one of my friends gave me his old rrod'd 360. I fixed that and am using that as my legit, Live console. It has a 120GB hard drive. Can I use that hard drive for my jtag'd 360? I.E., can I put homebrew stuff on it and then put it back in my Live console to play on Live? Or would I risk banning my Live console?

Thanks,

There should not be a problem as I have use the same hard drive in both of my 360's.  One Jtagged and the other legit for live.
