We're still working on putting all hardcoded parts into the settings-menu. It's pretty much done tho, but I'd like to save the settings as well (hehe).  And yea - I belive I'd like to make a few backupfiles of things like the long filename-base. It gets easily screwed if you turn off the xbox while it writes, so with a backup, you'd loose as little as possible.

I'm not stressing things that ain't vital for alpha, and blaz is skipping some things for the alpha like filehandler - soooo it's gonna be missing a few functions that will show up real soon.
Thanks to self-patcher, that should go quite painless. We're fast coders, so a couple updates per week with noticeable amount of features added every time shouldn't be a problem.

We have actually implemented two on-screen keyboards, so when we
have it a bit more configurable you'll be able to select the preferred keyboard.

Ok...I know it's only Alpha and of course you can't take responsibility for any damage the program might cause to our systems, but before I install this...Could you just let us know the likelihood that it might cause damage to our system because of bugs?  

For instance, if you're only reading files on the HD, then their is a low chance that any damage could be done by some bug.  However, if there are certain circumstances where you write to files on the HD, then there is a greater chance that there might be a bug which would improperly overwrite our files.  That's just one example.

What I'm getting at is, do you think it's relatively safe to install the dashboard, or should we be very cautious?

I personally cant wait for Avalaunch to be released, its sorta like a EvoX w/ some of neXgens Ideas, and then to top it off, stuff thats never been done before (IRC Client, ...............).

Its Released everyone, they released it 30mins ago. I dunno when Xbins or alt.binaries.cd.image.xbox will have it, but I got it from one of the "Usual Places", please No PM's Asking Were I Found It Though, and NO its not leaked. ;-)

Only downside.. I could connect via FTP and see my XBOX.. but any transfer to or from locked up the XBOX.

Can't wait to see the next release of this guys.  Keep up the great work!  I see this app as a future EVOX Dash replacement.. not just yet tho...

has a virtual keyboard...just push the white button.  Please no bashing on this one please...its an alpha and we dont want what happened to nexgen to happen to this one.
