The readme that come with those apps are pretty straight forward. If you were able to read/flash your nand you wont have a problem installing those loaders. Have fun

Actually, the XeXLoader readme is shit.

They give 3 Options but don't tell you they're options.  To the newcomer/novice they look like sequential steps.

Install :

1) Launch old version of XeXLoader. Use the file browser to copy the directory "C0DE9999" to the 360 HDD at: Hdd1://Content/0000000000000000/

2) Burn CD/DVD using XeXLoader.iso. Use the file browser to copy (using the "Y" button) the directory "C0DE9999" to the 360 HDD at:
Hdd1://Content/0000000000000000/

3) Transfer Cable
Use appropriate software to copy the directory "C0DE9999" to 360 HDD at:
Partition3\Content\0000000000000000

So, to the OP.  If you already have XeXLoader installed, use step 1.  I honestly don't know what Step 2 is supposed to mean, because I was not able to read the CD drive when I booted XeXLoader from a burned iso.

Step 3 is the easiest to do in my opinion.  Just get the XeXLoader "LIVE" package and use your transfer software to put the C0DE9999 directory into the right spot on your 360's hard drive.  Just in case you didn't figure this out, the C0DE9999 directory is the directory containing all of the data used for XeXLoader.  When you put it in the Content directory of your hard drive, your 360 will see it as a downloaded arcade game.

A lot of other software works like this too, for instance SNES360.  Other software, like MAME360, is distributed simply with the executables (XEX files) and other supporting files/directories.  If you get files like this, you can use an XEX launcher (such as XEXLoader) to launch these files.

For me, I just downloaded the xexloader iso file, extracted it from the .rar and then burnt the iso with imgburn to a CD

You then put that burned CD in your XBOX when you boot it. You should be able to play the CD as a 'game' and it will load up xexloader. You can then copy the folder "C0DE9999" to the 360 HDD to
Hdd1://Content/0000000000000000/

You bring up help in xexloader by pressing the back button.

Now, If I could just get Mame to run...
