Non Official 360 Hdd Not Shown Jtag

well i must be missing something , have xbr_3 -jtag all is good ..if i read right u could use any sata hard drive you like ?

well i tried an 80 gig seagate , didnt show up in dash ....so connected to pc deleted partion w/partion magic
connected to 360 no luck what am i missing does it have to the usuall size ( 20 , 60 ,120 , 250 ? )

Put hard drive in the 360 hard drive port then go to setting and select the memory device and select format. It may take a while but your 360 will format the drive then it can be used.

Not any sata HD. Laptop drives require less power and should work. If you're trying a 3.5" drive you'll need to feed it a 12v line (I dont think the xbox's port supports 12v). If you are trying a laptop drive, your xbox wont use it till it's formated which you can do through the nxe settings.

yep was using 3.5 slapped 12v to it now 360 sees it , goto format ..gets to enter serial # i push a button to do so and blue screen pops and shuts quick , cant get past that ?? any ideas ?

edit : i cant format my own 360 hdd (official same error) xbr error ? missing my console serial ?
