yes both xbreboot and freeboot can run the latest kernel so you can play the latest games

doesnt it let you play the game if you deny the update???

im sure theres a way of removing the update.  i heard with wave 4 disks, you can patch the video partition to a wave 2 or 3 game, and it works perfectly fine.  might wanna look into that.

I hit "no" on the update and it takes me back to dashboard, i'll look into how to strip it down to a different wave.  Thanks!

if you strip down to a different wave the game require the same update but this time you cannot do it if you press "yes" button because you remove the update with the strip method..however you cannot play the game if you doesn't update the dashboard.

JTAG the console and apply the patched kernel and you can play the game with not blow the efuses
