I've seen TONS of XBR stuff, and not a whole lot of Freeboot stuff.

What I do know is lots of PPL say that Freeboot has better compatibility all around, but everyone seems to use XBR.

What is the difference between the two, how hard is it to swap between the two, and can you use both?

Also, does XBR have a lot more programs that work / are made for it, or does it just seem that way?

Hä? All the stuff is also for freeboot. The most people use xbr because freeboot need a dual nand setup. All this people dream for a single nand freeboot solution because xbr is hanging in the most games so currently it is less usable.

i would also like to know more about this.  It wasnt that long ago since the whole jtag hack so i told myself i'll wait a little bit and see where the scene goes.  I didnt follow for a couple months just to see where the software side would lead and now i feel a little bit left behind.

I would like to know what is better to use also.  XBR or Freeboot?  Pros and Cons?  I tried searching and it lead me here, but not much info...

So from what i understand, please correct me if i'm wrong..  Do the jtag hack and flash the nand with XBR or Freeboot? ? ? I see videos on the frontpage of stuff like XeXloader that runs from the original DASH.  Can someone please clear some stuff up for me and get me up to date, because i know there are always new ways of doing things and just want to get up to speed.

freeboot is better because it doesnt crash.

you will need to buy the cygnos360 chip though, and it doesnt work with 256/512mb nand xbox arcade consoles, so its pretty useless for most people.
