as long as your dashboard is 7371 or lower you can attempt the jtag....then load the Xenon trick to get the cpu
key to get your dvd key.....
I used and infectius2 chip with the addon for mine works good and is more wiring....if you aint worry about the cost which i picked mine up from here cheapest place for me so far with the addon...

or just do the LPT(printer port trick) to read the nand and if it's any of these CB's (1922, 1923, 1940, 7373 (Xenon))it won't work otherwise your good to go.....


any dashs nand can be read/written for your information......

also the Cygnos360 V2   says it can downgrade the fw as well. The only thing i could think of that would stop that is if they did something to patch another sector that isnt accessible to the nad. CPU?

IIRC it isnt downgradable via the timing attack (from what ive read the king kong timing attack and the JTAG hack exploit the same thing but in different ways, i may be wrong though) since any 8xxx update rewrites the bootloader (or something) and disables the JTAG/timing attack hack permanently.

Anything *before* 849x. Not 8498...
