Very Quick Question About Updating After Nand Flash

I just flashed xbr onto my xbox. Whenever i sign in now to my profile it asks if i want to do an update if i want to get on live. I dont want to get on live, but i would like to update it just so its gone...

So is it fine to update it? or will that prevent the jtag hack from working?
