Help! I Need Alternative Point For Jtag!

just scrape a little.... and you can solder there. ok....

Scrape it with a tweezer or len pen.

yep bottom of the board under that spot FT1u2 has solder with a  white circle around it....

on a similar note, is there is alternative point for the one on the wireless daughter board as I want to ideally keep wll the witing to the mainboard so its easier for disasembly and re-assembly. I have not had a look myself yet but I asuume I can chase it back via its socket and use a point there? I assume thats just the easiest point found as its pre-soldered and quite large.

you mean the pin6 on the rf thingy - yes, actually the picture in one of the 2 popular diagrams shows the soldering point on the mainboard, not on the rf thingy. it's on the bottom of the mobo and of course located close to where the rf thingy is mounted.

Thanks for clarifying, i had never seen that pic I think mainly as whilst I was looking xboxhacker was down, on there is a thread with a guy who has posted a small pdf showing what to do, and in it he has this point shown

and yes most of the board can be traced down...this is prob why i get them um eye ache thingy's smile.gif
but got a lighted big mag glass coming...
