Is It Possible To Run Mame 360 From A Cd Or Dvd

Hello,
has anybody been able to run mame360 off a cdr after doing the jtag mod? I have been trying to get it running but for the life of me i have been unsucesful. is there any tutorial on how to do so somewhere? I know it can be ran from the hard drive but i do not have the xplorer 360 cable kit to do the transfer. Sorry if I sound noobish but ive been searching and i am unsure if it can be done. Please help!
