Yes, same for me. With the resistor installed my falcon boots without the intermittent RRoD.

i know this is for falcon's  but i have a zephyr that boots xell everytime  but always has e79 or e71 when trying to boot to the dash    what did i do wrong?   i tried several versions of XBR  but right now i have  XBR3 for zephyr.

Hi not sure if this is right place to ask but heres my problem i jtagged my falcon about 3 months ago got XBR booting and its been working with no problems then this morning i tried running the network config and while it was testing my xbox froze and when i switched it back on i got the 3RROD would putting the resistor in fix my problem or do you think its somehow corrupted the nand any advice would be greatly appreciated

I picked some 330 ohm today to test out.  Are you guys using 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt?

Here's the issue on my falcon.
With stock nand, and jtag wires in place, it boots fine.
Flashed, one red light.

I did manage to lift the DB1F1 point, and scraped some around it, saw some gold?  Is this the same point?

The FT1U2 is impossible to solder to and I managed to jack it up too.  When it did solder, the wire slipped and pulled some of the trace up!  How big of an issue is that?  Since FT1U2 is gone?
I did manage to scrape the trace near it and should be able to connect there.

Even though it sounds like I am horrible at soldering, I managed to successfully jtag a xenon without any issues.

I think I'll try this tonight since I have a fresh tip and new spots on the mobo!!

Wow I've never seen those alternate points before, that should come in handy. Also, that's one badass solder job, i love the crooked wire clipping making the bridge. I need to get some long-legged diodes like those.

As you can see in the image that you quoted, this wiring method is obsolete.  Use the transistor/AUD_CLAMP method instead.
