Ok...I think I'm back to being lost again, but let me ask you something. Wouldn't, for example, an unbanned RRoD box that hasn't been online for around a year be good to get a key from? If so, why wouldn't you be able to use that RRoD box to unban a Jasper? I'm trying to use a very simple example here. I don't really understand where the breakdown would occur if it would not be possible to unban the box in this example.
Jaspers cannot run the 1888 kernel, which is needed in this tutorial.
Aside from that, you would need the banned xbox to power on (with video) long enough to retrieve the CPU key, and you would need to already have the CPU key for the Jasper (to re-encrypt the kv).
Let's say you got the really good idea (not so much) to swap the CPU/NAND from the unbanned xbox to the newly banned xbox. At that point it comes down to compatibility (You cannot use a 90nm CPU from a Xenon on a Jasper) as well as your own skillset. Reflowing/reballing would be extremely difficult, and would cost a lot of money if you don't already have the tools.
There is no solderless solution, since you need to solder LPT points to be able to read/write the NAND on both consoles.
